Orbita Quattro Winder Review

By MichaelC

Here is a quick review of the Orbita Quattro watch winder with atomic clock. This winder will wind / store four watches, and each set of two heads (left and right) is completely programmable for direction (CW, CCW, or both) and turns per day (TPD). A three position toggle switch selects between off, automatic, and continuous operation.

Watches are fastened to individual foam cushions, which are then placed in the rigid plastic cups.

The board sits at a 33 degree angle (approximate), and I have had no trouble winding a variety of Panerais. The winder runs on either C batteries or the included AC adapter. A full complement of C batteries ran my winder about a year before needing to be replaced. This is an obvious plus for safe applications that don't have a hole for a power cord.

This is a durable unit that handles Panerais very well. The atomic clock is a nice, built-in unit that of course makes it easy to track the accuracy of your favorite Panny. And the glass viewing window adds a touch of class and makes it easy to view your collection. The interior is completely lined with soft felt, so if you accidently mishandle a watch and bang it, it is unlikely to cause a mark. Even the top heavy 1000m is wound with precision and control. Highly recommended.
