Vendôme Special Editions 2002
The Black Seal is quite a departure for Panerai. It is a regular sized titanium watch, but has a "hunter" case with a lid that pivots at 12. The lid is engraved with a scene of two divers aboard a torpedo submarine. The Black Seal ships with a further blank lid, on which the owner can have engraved a design of their choice.
There was some confusion over the number of Black Seals to be produced. Initial press releases suggested that there would be 100 made, however the final production is actually 300.

The XXL 1950 is a faithful reproduction of an original watch, destined to be the watch of 2002/2003. The production of 1950 pieces is scheduled to be spread over 2002 and 2003.

PAM 147 Radiomir Split seconds
The Radiomir split seconds continues the tradition of enclosing fine new-old-stock movements in a precious metal Radiomir case. On inspecting the various documentation available, this watch would appear to be a very close (if slightly larger) relative of the PAM 47 produced in 1999.

AMG Chronographs 
Two chronographs have been produced in a co-branding effort with AMG Mercedes. These are close relatives of the current Luminor chronograph range, but with differing hands and typeface on the dial.
Note that the two watches have different dial layouts, and different movements.

Purdey Sealand
In cooperation with Purdey, the gun manufacturers, Panerai have produced four special edition watches with the same hunter case as the Black Seal above, but with "hunting" images engraved on the lids.

This watch appears to be similar to the PAM 88, but with a little extra writing on the dial and "blob" indices. It is the 2002 incarnation of the Laureus Regatta watches, previous years having seen the Monte Carlo and the Regatta.
