Paneristi London Meeting 2003

Page 2

Seriously, we gathered The Watch Gallery on Fulham Road in London around 6.15.

Panerai and The Watch Gallery had very kindly laid on an exhibition of watches old and (very) new, so the next couple of hours were taken up with making acquaintances with people we've known for years, but never met, and with ogling the watches.

The star attraction of the evening was the Tantalium, which seemed to spend about 3 microseconds in its cabinet before being taken out again for someone to ogle it ...

The mysterious Mr Orange made an appearance, but managed to yank one of his amazing posters up in front of himself just as the camera went off (Messrs Orange and Yellow - thanks very much indeed guys). You'll notice the worrying similarity to "Kilroy" here ..

And Simon, the man of the hour, cunningly took all the photos so he wouldn't feature in any of them (or at least that was what he thought).

Around 8 o' clock we had to leave the Watch Gallery, so we bade farewell to Joe and Mrs. Joe, who had to head back to the coast. After this we headed to a restaurant down the road, where beer was drunk the standard of photography took a rapid nose-dive.

It gets worse on page 3 ...
